Cheek Implant Surgery Sydney
Regain your youthful aesthetic
Some of the critical aspects of facial beauty are balance, symmetry and how your features harmoniously work together. Sometimes it can feel like parts of your face simply are not coherent or age more noticeably than others. A perpetual tired appearance can result from hollowness and sagging of the cheeks caused by a depletion of fat, collagen and skin laxity. As your face is the way you express yourself to the world, you may experience overall discontentment with your appearance.
Cheek implants can help to fight the signs of ageing and help to restore the full, youthful cheek look you might have once had. Dr Paul Gerarchi offers both surgical and non-surgical cheek enhancing options and will consult with you to determine the best option for you. As a permanent solution, cheek implants are an effective choice for those who do not wish to schedule repeat treatments to achieve their ultimate cosmetic goals. Each cheek implant journey is designed to suit your individual facial structure and to match your desired outcome to emphasise your beautiful face.

An Example Of Our Work
The results you deserve
Cheek implants can help to restore a more youthful, full look to a face and help to bring your features in to a more proportionate state. Some of the benefits our patients enjoy after their procedure include:
Years of ageing can take its toll on a once full and lively face, and cheek implants can help you to regain the structure lost around your cheek and eye areas. Skin appears firm and contoured, facilitating a pleasant resting expression, improving the look of fine lines and wrinkles and exuding a radiance for all to see.
The reduction of fine lines and wrinkles through the tightening of the skin, as well as a more defined cheek bones, lessens the need for make-up and contouring to achieve a youthful and beautiful look.
Meeting your surgeon
The first part of your cheek implant experience is the initial consultation and does not necessarily mean that you will opt for procedure. As a patient of Dr Paul Gerarchi, you are in the hands of a highly experienced surgeon who can answer all of your questions informatively, give expert advice, ease your concerns about risks and explain the procedural options from start to finish. A healthy patient is important when beginning the surgery, so your medical records will be examined to determine if you are a candidate for the surgery. Once you have made the exciting decision, your unique facial structure will be assessed and the best option for you will be determined using Dr Gerarchi’s state-of-the-art techniques.
Your cheek implant journey
Just as no facial structures are alike, no two cheek implants can be alike and the procedure is adjusted to suit your natural features and proportions. In doing this, the most complimentary and beautiful results can be achieved, without looking overdone, with lasting results. On the day of your surgery, Dr Gerarchi and his team will make you feel calm and comfortable to ensure the most pleasant experience possible.
A small incision will be made either through the mouth, along the hairline or near the lower lid depending on the best access to the problem area you have previously discussed in your consultation. When Dr Gerarchi is confident that his steady hands have the implant in an optimal position for your face, the incisions will be closed and you can begin your road to recovery and to your new, full cheeks.
As cheek implants are a day procedure, you can be back in the comfort and relaxation of your own home after the surgery. The area will be dressed in bandages for several days to be certain that the implants remain perfectly in place as they heal and to ensure the area remains clean. When Dr Gerarchi is confident that the healing is progressing, the bandages will be removed and you will finally be able to see some of his exquisite handiwork.
Although you may be keen to return to all of your regular activities, it is important that you give your body the rest it needs after the surgery. This includes avoiding strenuous physical exercise, which can increase blood pressure and draw blood to your extremities and away from the wound, for four to six weeks. Depending on which part of the face was affected by the surgery, you may also experience certain dietary restrictions. Swelling of the cheeks can take weeks to subside, so the final, lasting results may not be visible immediately – but some good things are worth waiting for.
Managing your pain and recovery
To help to guarantee that your road to recovery is as smooth as possible, pain relief will be prescribed by Dr Gerarchi to suit your requirements. Antibiotics may also be required to assist your body in its protection against any potential infections.
It is recommended that any other medications, including over-the-counter painkillers, are discussed with Dr Gerarchi, as they can interfere with the recovery. A safe and healthy healing process is imperative to obtain your new, youthful cheeks and defined facial structure.
Your post-surgery journey
Some appointments will be scheduled by Dr Gerarchi in the weeks and months following your surgery to confirm that your recovery is advancing at a healthy rate and that you are feeling a sense of satisfaction with the results.
You are encouraged to keep an open line of communication with Dr Gerarchi throughout the whole journey, as his commitment to uncompromising quality of care extends beyond just the procedure itself.
